Tixati is not open source so there's no telling if it has viruses or not but it looks like it doesn't and it's popular enough. It's a lot newer and less tested and proven than qb but it has a certain minimalism that might be attractive, might work better out of the box too. PicoTorrent is another option like qBittorrent that has the VPN killswitch feature. I've had some problems before where it ends up breaking from messing with VPNs and qb updates but the portable version from portableapps doesn't seem to have problems. The ability to bind the interface option with the VPN to act as a killswitch in case the VPN disconnects is hard to beat. QBittorrent I'd say is most likely the best.

Maybe followed by Tixati and BiglyBT.īitTorrent / uTorrent (current versions are essentially the same client nowadays)Īlso see the sidebar Related Links list under "Client Software". That aside the "main" ones in use tend to be Deluge, qBittorrent, rTorrent, Transmission, uTorrent 2.2.1. Most people do not recommend using the current BitTorrent/uTorrent clients nowadays.
